BCCE president Colleen Clark resigns, Todd Corrigal to take hold of the reigns
British Columbia Chamber Executives Society announces board for 2020/21
At its Board meeting last week, with regret, BCCE accepted the resignation of Colleen Clark as President of BCCE due to her departure from the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce.
The BCCE Board acknowledged the tremendous contribution that Colleen has made to the chamber network and thanks her for her dedication over a stellar 28-year chamber career, which started in Sechelt in 1994. Colleen was known as the “go-to” person in BC for all things “chamber” and will definitely be missed by her colleagues across the province. Active in BCCE, she has assisted with conferences, bursaries, sponsorship and at the 2021 AGM, was elected as BCCE President.
In 2016, she moved to the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce and at that point, became more involved in the national chamber network, where she currently served as a Vice-President and Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC). In 2019, Colleen was named CCEC Executive of the Year in the large chamber category. In addition to all these formal roles, Colleen was the type of person that went the extra mile to make new chamber executives feel welcomed and was always available to share her expertise or empathize with her peers on the challenges of the day – and there were many over the last two years! BCCE wishes Colleen the best wherever her next journey takes her and hopes our paths will cross again.
BCCE is pleased to advise that Todd Corrigall, CEO at Prince George Chamber of Commerce, has agreed to assume the position of President of BCCE until the 2022 AGM. Todd joined the chamber in 2016 and was elected to the BCCE Board at the 2020 AGM. Our appreciation to Todd for agreeing to take on this role mid-year!
